Things kicked off with a call from the Shootin' Lucy boys, then we followed up with another call, this one from SoCal punk pioneers Shattered Faith (reception was a little so-so, they were about 2hrs outside of SLC). Both bands hittin' Bottom of the Hill in S.F. Aug. 7th. Then Holzfeuer of ArnoCorps and Count Dante stormed the airwaves pummelling our audience with news of their upcoming gig Friday Aug. 8th @ The Great American Music Hall. Something old, something new and ... ummm another thing new??? This week I played my interviews with Englands premiere Pub-Rock heros Eddie and The Hot Rods. They came to fame just prior to punk in the mid-seventies playing Londons most infamous night clubs with the likes of Dr. Feelgood, Joe Strummer 1st band The 101ers and AC/DC. They are kicking off a US tour Thursday August 31st. Then we welcomed Eva and Adam from The White Barons. No strangers to this show, they caught us up on their goings on - opening for Manic Hispanic 8/1/08 @ Slim's, playin' a pre-'65 Hot Rod show in Antioch 8/9/08 and headin' to Europe in August. Best ay luck to 'em. For the 2nd hour DJ Skull took over the helm as her friends French Miami played a live set in the Pirate Cat Radio cafe. It's an ear load kitties - enjoy.
