Yes that's right kiddies it's the 1st annual 12th annual Punk Rock Bowling re-visited el special extraordinaire ... minus any actual re-visiting. Instead of recording interviews, etc, etc, I decided to spend my time at PRB drinkin' and gambling (a wise choice I might add). Fortunately for me I already interviewed just about everyone on the 3-day bill and so I present to you some gems from Neat Neat Noise past smothered in a PRB theme. It all starts with a recent classic featuring PRB organizer Shawn Stern of Youth Brigade chattin' it up with Mike Watt, then the action really kicks in as Stan Lee of The Dickies, joined by Brian Kehoe of The Kehoe Nation, talks about auditioning Leonard and more, but wait you also get Blag Dahlia of The Dwarves ribbing Jack Grisham of T.S.O.L. annnnnnnnnnnnd tales from the Vats from Kurt Brecht of D.R.I. - WHAT THE HELL YOU WAITING FOR!!!!!!

DURATION: 2hrs

Came chargin' out of the gate this week with a visit from Wade and Liz of SF experimental/punk band The Reaction, we chatted and played tunes from their new Armedalite Rifle split 7" and forthcoming 10" (we played the test pressing). Later two - COUNT'EM - two members of Circle Jerks called in to catch us up on the latest Circle Jerks news and get us up to speed on their side projects. First up long time "new guy" Zander Schloss talked about his latest collaborative acoustic project, Sean Wheeler and Zander Schloss and also reminisced about playing with Joe Strummer, The Weirdos, collaborating with film maker Alex Cox and wrapped things up with a spot on Keith Morris impersonation. Next up the man himself Keith Morris chimed in and didn't hold back on expressing his frustration with the inability of the Circle Jerks to produce new material and how it led to the formation of his new band OFF!. Don't miss this classic!!!!

DOWNLOAD SHOW

URL: http://podcasts.dreamhosters.com/pcr/Noise/Noise-20100323.mp3
FLIE SIZE: 87mb
DURATION: 2hrs

Hank Rank reminds us all why CRIME is "San Francisco's most dangerous band" as he didn't hold anything back when expressing his intense displeasure with James Stark's new book of photography "The Band CRIME: Punk '77 Revisited", citing accuracies with names and dates. Jame's was a good sport and held his position that the book isn't a history of CRIME but rather a book of his CRIME photographs with supplemental text. Either way the segment with Hank and James is classic radio NOT TO BE MISSED! While a few facts maybe incorrect I love Stark's photographs of CRIME and recommend picking up a copy of "The Band CRIME: Punk '77 Revisited" [Last Gasp!]. Also don't miss CRIME's brand new single Extortion [FYBS records] - hurry these are extremely limited. Afterward SF hardcore band Get Dead restored peace with a blistering acoustic set, check out their new self titled EP.

Well we wouldn't be living up to our namesake if we didn't have our annual visit from The Damned, this year drummer Pinch caught us up on all the latest goings on in the world of The Damned and gave us some unique insight into their creative process. Later I played my interview with ... um Pinch, turns out he's also a founding member of the early '80 British 2nd wave band English Dogs, a personal fav of mind, he waxed poetically about the violence, turbulent "good old days" - such fun. Lastly our friend Dave Dalton of O'l Cheeky Bastards phoned in to remind y'all about their Feb 26th show at The Stork club in Oakland and reminisced about opening for The Damned with his old band Cell Block 5 - DAMN WHAT A SHOW!!!!
