DURATION: 2hrs

Came chargin' out of the gate this week with a visit from Wade and Liz of SF experimental/punk band The Reaction, we chatted and played tunes from their new Armedalite Rifle split 7" and forthcoming 10" (we played the test pressing). Later two - COUNT'EM - two members of Circle Jerks called in to catch us up on the latest Circle Jerks news and get us up to speed on their side projects. First up long time "new guy" Zander Schloss talked about his latest collaborative acoustic project, Sean Wheeler and Zander Schloss and also reminisced about playing with Joe Strummer, The Weirdos, collaborating with film maker Alex Cox and wrapped things up with a spot on Keith Morris impersonation. Next up the man himself Keith Morris chimed in and didn't hold back on expressing his frustration with the inability of the Circle Jerks to produce new material and how it led to the formation of his new band OFF!. Don't miss this classic!!!!

03.23.10: CRIME, James Stark and Get Dead [acoustic]

DOWNLOAD SHOW

URL: http://podcasts.dreamhosters.com/pcr/Noise/Noise-20100323.mp3
FLIE SIZE: 87mb
DURATION: 2hrs

Hank Rank reminds us all why CRIME is "San Francisco's most dangerous band" as he didn't hold anything back when expressing his intense displeasure with James Stark's new book of photography "The Band CRIME: Punk '77 Revisited", citing accuracies with names and dates. Jame's was a good sport and held his position that the book isn't a history of CRIME but rather a book of his CRIME photographs with supplemental text. Either way the segment with Hank and James is classic radio NOT TO BE MISSED! While a few facts maybe incorrect I love Stark's photographs of CRIME and recommend picking up a copy of "The Band CRIME: Punk '77 Revisited" [Last Gasp!]. Also don't miss CRIME's brand new single Extortion [FYBS records] - hurry these are extremely limited. Afterward SF hardcore band Get Dead restored peace with a blistering acoustic set, check out their new self titled EP.
